Service Description

"Maize” is an emailed reading that utilizes corn kernels prepared through specific ritual and prayer to help gain insights into the past, present, and future. How It Works: This practice involves casting the kernels in a controlled manner, then interpreting their positions, colors, and relationships to each other based on a pre-established symbolic system rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions. Maize Divination History: Maize Divination played a crucial role in the Mexica community. Fostering their connection with the divine, securing agricultural success, and shaping individual and collective decisions. Diviners, often priests or elders, explored the interwoven meanings between gods and specific days in the tonalpohualli, a 260-day calendar used by several Mesoamerican cultures. Sadly, colonization wiped out much of maize divination’s history, with the destruction of sacred texts and knowledge repositories. The remaining written records, stemming from colonizer rhetoric, lack cultural understanding. This suppression forced Mesoamerican communities to rely on oral tradition, making intricate details of Maize Divination traditions difficult to document and sustain. About the Reader: Nacho Amor is a Mexican-American Queer Brujo and devotee of Santa Muerte. Channeling Mesoamerican ancestral divination to help guide you in unlocking hidden strengths, revealing the truths behind challenges, and empowering your present path.
